Chinese Phone maker Vivo is all set to launch its new notch competitor into the Indian market. Although it is not the only competitor in the notch legacy, it has been equipped with a so-called in-display fingerprint sensor, which is indeed great thing itself. Other highlights include 6GB of RAM, a 19.5:9 full HD 1080X2340 Halo FullView 3.0 super AMOLED Display with FunTouch OS 4.5 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, bundled with an AI Engine, an Adreno 512 GPU. Priced around 25,000 Rs. it is definitely a good grab.
Talking about Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which is proud successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and 630 with Adreno 512 GPU which clocks at 850 MHz, faster than that of previous Adreno 510 which is 600 MHz, we can say that it is ready to rock mid-segment with its flagship class performance, offering around 30% faster cores, Bluetooth 5 support, a faster LTE modem, USB 3.1 with USB-C, a new ISP and Quick Charge 4.0. The chipset features custom Kryo cores — a first for this segment, a new Adreno 512 GPU, Snapdragon X12 LTE modem with download speeds of 600Mbps and 3x carrier aggregation, Wi-Fi ac with 2x2 MU-MIMO, a Spectra 160 image signal processor, Bluetooth 5, Quick Charge 4.0, and USB 3.1. Qualcomm is touting a 20% increase in performance when compared to the SD653 from the new Kryo 260 cores and a 30% uptick for the GPU.
